The Mid-Autumn Festival (the Chinese version of Thanksgiving) is just around the corner. The festival allows us to enjoy the successful reaping of rice and wheat with food offerings made in honor of the moon.
It is our tradition to light lanterns, have a barbecue, and enjoy the delightful mooncake with our family and friends.
The customs actually differ from location to location. For example, it is common for people in Kinmen to participate in the mooncake dice game (Bobing) during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
This year, OICA would like to invite you to join us and experience
some of our Mid-Autumn Festival traditions!
