The Department of Oceans and Border Management has motivated our students to become future law enforcement professionals with theoretical and practical knowledge of management in oceans and borders fields. Courses such as Ocean Legal Affairs, Coast Guard and Executive Law, Entry and Exit Management, Customs Duties and Marine Industry Management are emphasized in our curriculum. Law, policy and management are major directions.
Due to the special geographic location of Kinmen, our students are also prompted to keep up with the international and cross-strait current affairs. The curriculum also focuses on the local demands and needs of Kinmen. The department also provided students with many internship programs after years of solid training in order to equip them with professional knowledge and competence to any sort of marine-related jobs they will devote upon graduation.
As to government official jobs, our students are capable of engaging in coast guard administration, customs duties, entry and exit management (immigration officer), national security bureau, investigation bureau. The student will also be equipped with the abilities to engage jobs in the marine industry such as shipping companies, customs brokers, tally companies, port loading, and unloading industry companies.
