The Department of Social Work welcomes students who are interested in understanding and working with people and communities based on people’s strengths according to the principles of human rights and social justice. Our curriculum prepares students to be professional social workers that are able to work in multiple settings with diverse populations and issues. We adopt different methods of teaching and assessment to ensure the effectiveness of students’ learning. Since the demand for trained social workers increases every year, we also encourage our students to pass the certification exam and become licensed social workers.
