Basic infrastructure: Proper civil development cannot happen without talents in civil engineering. The Department of Civil Engineering and Engineering Management at the NQU has quite a reputation. Our talents have contributed efforts toward all major civil construction projects including the Kinmen Bridge.
Science and Technology: The Department of Electronic Engineering, the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, along with the Master Programs in Information Science and Applications train professionals in the much sought after field of information technology. The school focuses on fields such as AI, AR, VR, Big Data, Semiconductors, and Robotics, where demands in the future will surely be great.
Domestic Welfare: The Department of Food Science is the driving force behind Kinmen Liquor's industrial upgrade. The department focuses on food processing, testing, and extraction techniques. It also offers liquor tasting and brewing programs. It is an area of specialization that is very unique.
The College of Science and Engineering covers extensive areas of research including some that utilize Kinmen's natural resources. Others such as ecological and environmental sustainability engineering, green energy technology and applications, spatial analysis and applications, all go a long way towards benefitting local construction projects and industrial developments.
